The PTA pays for and operates a host of programs:
We fully fund these classroom enrichment programs (more than $100,000 per year):
- Schmahl Science (monthly hands-on science workshops for every class)
 - Additional PE (twice a month for each class, plus coaching during all recesses)
 - 20-22 weeks of music instruction for each class (in Spanish for TWBI classes)
 
We fund these programs, and they are organized and run by PTA volunteers:
- Project Cornerstone anti-bullying program (ABC Reader and Los Dichos lessons in classes)
 - Art supplies and lessons
 - Garden and lessons
 - Science Fair/Science Family Fun Night
 - Tiger Store (overseen by school, funded/staffed by PTA)
 - Book swaps
 - Author assemblies
 - Opera performance/assembly
 - Band instrument rental closet
 - Yearbook
 
We fund these events, and they are organized and run by PTA volunteers:
- Kinder welcome events (park playdates, pizza party, Kinder Coffee)
 - Back-to-School Ice Cream Social
 - Harvest Festival
 - Book Fair (also serves as a fundraiser)
 - Tree Lighting
 - Walking Wednesdays
 - Two parent-child events a year
 - Student Talent Show
 - Auction/Dinner for parents/teachers (fundraiser)
 - Walkathon (fundraiser)
 - 5K (fundraiser)
 - School T-shirts (student-designed)
 - Staff Appreciation Week
 
We pay for these items:
- Library books
 - Laptops
 - Classroom stipends of up to $1,500 per teacher (to pay for supplies, field trips)
 - School needs (copy machine, laminator, picnic benches, Tiger folders)
